Chefs who migrated to Arizona from California requested a “he shed” and “she shed.” His was to be used for cars while hers would be a cozy potting room and meditation space overlooking the Catalina Mountains. It is now a year-round heated and air-conditioned retreat.
Though the existing house is over fifty years old, the new garage in front blends perfectly with the original exterior, while the “she shed” in back offers a retro hideaway with paned windows, beams, and a porch. We were thrilled—as were our clients—to have completed the project during the pandemic and supply-chain crisis when materials were nearly unattainable.
